The water level in the Cape Coral canals and lake chains has increased. Recent rains and storms have increased water levels to a point that fishing has been good but weird. I mean weird in that the bass have not followed normal patterns as bass did last year at this time. The recent cold snap we just had sent most of the bass into a lethargic mode. We have been so busy will all kinds of stuff. But as far as the fishing goes here it is:
The Bass Fishing this month has been coming on strong. Fish are moving up for spawn and the bigger females are staging in predictables area's.
The salt water fishing is getting to be great for Redfish, Snook and Tarpon. The bigger fish have moved in to inshore and back country haunts for the warmth of the water and food. We have been seeing good number of fish and lots of bait inshore. The fishing is getting… Continue

Early Morning and lunch time top water bites have been excellent. The lunch time or noon-time bites are good if you can stand the heat. Small top waters have been working best.
